For 2026, a Bain-supplied posting described BEL for second-year students at four-year institutions in the United States or Canada who were graduating in winter 2027 or spring 2028 and interested in Black at Bain or Familia.

Bain founded BEL in 2009 to help undergraduates explore management consulting, according to the official program page. The purpose is durable; the cohort rules are cycle-specific.
