CoachNed vs CaseBasix
They built the recruiting hub. We built the room — then opened the hub.
CaseBasix’s sharpest marketing move is listing live consulting jobs and firm events next to prep. That is the right instinct. Those feeds are now public on CoachNed, pulled from official career sites, and they refresh themselves.
| Job | CoachNed | CaseBasix |
|---|---|---|
| Spoken case + scored debrief | Yes — live interview with Ned | Drills and cases; not the same product |
| First full case free | Yes, no card | Free tier with limited drills/cases |
| BCG Casey / CCA / Solve / SOVA | In-product simulators | Large games library |
| Consulting jobs feed | Public, self-updating, apply on firm site | Dashboard jobs tracker |
| Firm events feed | Public, self-updating | Dashboard events |
| Coaching marketplace | No. One or two humans before the real room | Yes — book intro calls |
| Founder in the product | Ned Calder, Big Four partner | Ex-MBB coaches on a roster |
What CaseBasix got right
Candidates do not only need cases. They need to know what is open and which info session is this week. Putting jobs and events inside prep is how you stay on the tab during recruiting season — not only the week before first round.
Where we will not copy them
Fake “$2,020 value” stacks, a 1,000-term glossary as a feature row, and a marketplace of coaches with booked intro calls. CoachNed is Ned on tap: AI-simulated interviews, scored debriefs, drills, Casey/CCA/Solve/SOVA. If you need a former interviewer in the room, buy one or two excellent hours. Do not confuse a roster with a rubric.
The jobs and events feeds
Public pages, not a gated dashboard. Filter by firm. Track a role on the application tracker. RSS if you want the firehose. Apply and register on the firm site — we are an index, not an ATS.
Questions
- Does CoachNed have consulting jobs and firm events like CaseBasix?
- Yes. /jobs and /events are public feeds refreshed from official firm career and event boards. Apply and register on the firm’s own page. We do not invent listings.
- Which one is for case interview practice?
- CoachNed is built around a scored spoken case with Ned, a 7-dimension debrief, and the drill that leaked. CaseBasix is broader: games, drills, a coaching marketplace, glossary, and recruiting tools.
- Should I use both?
- You can. If you want volume with a stable rubric, sit cases here. If you want a human coach marketplace, that is their product, not ours.
