B-school casing dies in two ways: not enough reps, or so many polite club cases that the same leak lasts until finals. This page owns the MBA sprint: calendar, club, and dual track (case + fit). It is not the canonical method and not the career-changer calendar.
The actual constraint is the OCR calendar, not “learning frameworks”
You have a compressed window: coffee chats, applications, first rounds, sometimes internships overlapping. Treat casing like a course with labs:
- Club cases = labs with variable TAs
- Solo scored cases = problem sets you cannot skip
- Drills = the thing club skips
- Fit = a second midterm people cram the night before
HBS, Wharton, Booth, Kellogg, Sloan, and everyone else will sell you slightly different club cultures. The failure mode is universal: volume without a named leak. How to practice.
Club cases: use them, do not worship them
Use for: interruption, stamina, seeing other people’s trees, calendar discipline.
Do not use for: learning exhibit method for the first time, or as your only debrief.

Dual track: case and PEI / fit
MBB internships still fail people on PEI with a fine case. Block one session a week that is only stories under probes. Do not “save fit for later” if first rounds include both.
Experienced MBA (years in industry): you will be compared to laterals. Depth of stories matters. Experienced hire.
Assessments are on the critical path
BCG Casey / CCA, Bain SOVA, McKinsey Solve — if your invite has one, club casing will not save you. Two Casey questions run with no account; the 10-case library is on CoachNed 90-Day Sprint and Annual, or the $69 Casey Pack (not in Monthly). Aptitude tests, Casey simulator.
A sprint shape (MBA-specific, not a generic 4-week clone)
Pre-term / early fall. Install the sequence from the prep guide. Daily 15-minute drills. Two full cases a week, voice. First CoachNed case is free — use it as a baseline score, not as a trophy.
Heavy OCR. Four to five full cases a week max if you still drill. More than that is usually club addiction. One partner session that is mean. Sit the test simulator the week it is announced, not the night before.

Internship recruiting vs full-time. Same skills; less time. Cut club sightseeing.

Internship vs full-time, and the December trap
Summer internship recruiting is the same skills on a nastier clock. Cut optional coffee chats that do not produce a name on a rec sheet. Full-time later in the MBA is not a chance to “collect 80 cases”; it is a chance to fix the leak that showed up in internship interviews.
